At Bright Kids Nursery we teach a highly inspiring curriculum which is both broad and balanced.

Our core curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage approach in Montessori settings.  Our focus is on creating the optimal 21st-century learning environment. We are inspired by the early-childhood giants Froebel and Montessori.

We believe that each child is unique; they naturally learn in a stimulating environment; that positive relationships form the basis for personal respect supporting learning; and that children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates.

The Montessori approach encourages us to create opportunities for playful learning- children engage in peer play, where they observe others and imitate and build on what they observe.

Both EYFS and Montessori see observation of children as critical to the assessment of children and are central to promoting children’s learning and development.

Our EYFS method supports the Montessori approaches for educating our children in the twenty-first century.

The Indoor Area

All our classrooms are standardized the Bright Kids way and are divided into four exciting quadrants.

Our classrooms are exciting, fun and challenging and enable children to learn, play & develop.

1. Messy Area – for food preparation, art & clay work and activities, plus our own investigative science area
2. Quiet Area – the calm and peace of the area encourages reading, listening to stories, to play around with manipulatives, drama and theatre, mathematics and IT
3. Noisy Area – is the fun and exciting area for dramatics, music & movement and free play
4. General Area – for construction and building blocks, learning games, and the parent area

At Bright Kids, we develop each child holistically and celebrate kids playing together.

The infant room of wonder and peace, all precautions are taken for physical comfort, emotional security, beginning socialization, learning, and development.

Our fun pretend area with a theatre, mini market, a tree house, fun kitchen and pretend play and loads of imaginative activities and play.

The Magic carpet- FunTronic – an interactive floor digital carpet.

We are very fortunate in having a large and exciting outdoor play area. This is a secure and friendly place for fun and learning. It is a challenging environment which enables children to play spontaneously. The sand area, school bus for a fun ride, wet play, and floor activities add to the fun of learning.

Child health

Our preschool in Abu Dhabi has a clinic furnished with clean, well-maintained equipment and medical instruments with adequate lighting and ventilation. The school nurse provides direct care to students by providing care for injuries and acute illness for all students and the long-term management of special health care needs. She conducts the assessment of health complaints, medication administration and care for students with special health care needs.

Child safety

Children’s safety and welfare are paramount. At Bright Kids Nursery, we create a safe and secure environment and provide a curriculum which teaches children how to be safe, make choices and assess risks.

We promote good health of children in our care through education and monitoring of snack boxes.

We consider the safety of children as our top priority. We maintain rigorous health and safety practices compliant with the standards laid down by regulatory bodies and we continuously strive to sustain an environment where everyone takes responsibility for their own safety as well as for the safety of those around them; embedding a robust behavioral safety culture across the board.

Furniture

Furniture plays an important role in any nursery. We have sourced custom-made furniture for our nursery in Abu Dhabi which has the below characteristics:

• Comfortable furniture suitable for children’s ages in terms of size and durability
• Does not contain any sharp edges or corners.
• Designed to fit the ages of children so that they can be used easily without assisted help

Building

The building interior is also custom created so that parents feel safe and happy while leaving their child in our care. Wooden networks have been installed to ensure the safety of children while going up and down the stairs with gates at every entrance.

Safety Equipment

All our nurseries are fitted with fire and smoke alarms, in case of fire.
